New Sewing and Dressmaking Class for All Levels

From Tuesday 12th November, 1.30 - 3.30pm, and 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each 

month, a sewing/dressmaking group will meet in our clubrooms.

This is more of a discussion group, sharing ideas and learning … you don’t need to bring your machine with you.  But you will need your pins, scissors and sewing kit.

Bring along pictures of garments you would like to sew and we can discuss how to put them together.  Many of the latest Vogue styles and garments seen in the latest movies are just the same style repeated with modern fabrics.

We will discuss where to buy fabrics, patterns etc. - Newtown is a hot bed of Op Shops filled with sewing supplies.

We can also talk about what suits your figure type ……

New Needle Felting Class and change of time for our Round Tuit Group

We have a new class started at Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society, run by Marilyn Smith, they meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm.

Our Round Tuit group now meet for longer on Wednesdays 10.00am - 3.00pm weekly (2nd Wednesday 10.00am - noon).  Take along any project to work on.

Hi there, we would love to welcome any new members to our Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society, at 27 Elizabeth Street, Waikanae.  Please feel free to turn up to any group you would be interested in, just bring along what you are working on at the time. Some groups have tutorials throughout the year you are welcome to join in as well.

Spinning/Knitting/Crochet meet: Monday: 9.30am - Noon
                                                     Tuesday: 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Miniature Making meet:               2nd and 4th Mondays 12.30pm - 4pm

Painting meet:                               Tuesday: 9.30am - Noon
                                                       Saturday: 10.00am - 12.30pm

Round Tuit meet:                           Wednesday 10.00am- 3.00pm (2nd Wed 10.00am - noon)
                                                       Work on any unfinished projects

Weaving meet:                                2nd Wednesday: 1.30pm - 4.30pm
                                                        4th Friday: 10.00am - Noon

Embroidery meet:                           Thursday: 9.30am - 11.30am

Cardmaking Plus meet:                   Friday 12.30pm - 4.00pm

Needle Felting meet:                       1st and 3rd Thursday 1.30pm - 4.30pm
