New Needle Felting Class and change of time for our Round Tuit Group

New - Needle Felting
We have a new class started at Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society, run by Marilyn Smith, they meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm.

Our Round Tuit group now meet for longer on Wednesdays 10.00am - 3.00pm weekly (2nd Wednesday 10.00am - noon). Take along any project to work on.

Who we are

Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society, Inc. is the centre of Waikanae's Arts and Crafts Community.

We're based at 27 Elizabeth Street, Waikanae - east of the railway lines.

Our aim is to provide a centre where local artists and crafters can come to create their art and to learn and to teach each other.

We have 9 main groups and you'll find information on all of them on their pages.

One subscription allows members to join any of the groups within the Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society. We always need new members so come along and join the merry crafters.

The current subscription is $80 per annum (1.7.19-30.6.20).

Our rooms are for hire for craft workshops, meetings and the like. The main room has 11 trestle tables and numerous chairs and will comfortably accommodate a maximum of 40 people. There is also a well-equipped kitchen. The hire charge for casual bookings is $50 per half day. Any applications for regular weekly bookings would be considered for a special negotiated price.
